I had the pleasure of meeting Justin Ryan and Colin McAllister from HGTV’s program, Home Heist. They were attending a book signing of their new book, “Colin & Justin’s Home Heist Style Guide” at the Yorkdale Chapters Indigo the other week.
It was fun to listen to them and have the pleasure of their company as we sat for a picture, and they were not the least bit shy about signing whatever was chosen and hugging and kissing their adoring public.
Did I say I had fun?

YYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!! Would LOVE to meet them! I suspect they were really lovely guys and their photo with you is awesome!!!!! I bought their book and have to admit that while I expected it to be good its actually about the best interior book I ever read as its so packed with gorgeous houses and explantions of their designer secrets etc, I love their balanced use of colour most!
PS – why was Justin not wearing a flower??????
Ive been enjoying Home Heist since it launched and always wondered what it would be like to meet Collin and Justin. My Mom introduced me to them and in my house we’ve been firm fans ever since! Just taken delivery of their book from Amazon and it’s such a great hlp to a style free home as ours!

Jaz, we thought it was weird too that he didn’t have his big corsage on, however, there were a couple of women in the audience who sported them instead – it was fun
Just bought this book and its just TOOOO good. Great ideas and Im currently re doing my kitchen like that lovely sleek silver and black one they did. Great idea, couldnt be better layed out etc, xxxxxxx

I did think they that they were true gentlemen too. Who else would treat their fans so well? It was great to meet some celebrities who didn’t treat others like crap.
I’m enjoying their book almost as much as I enjoyed them.

OK, so I read on a blog today that the guys have DEFINITELY bought a large hotel in Prince Ed County and I wondered did they talk about it when they did their signing? Apparently some listing agent said they were really good to deal with and their deal closed smoothly- I saw that on The Star page comment thingy!
Im on the prowl. Any clues?
This is old news, they have bought a 20 room mini estate near Picton, I thought that had been widely reported? There was an article in one of the local papers I seem to recall. I owned the place next to it for eleven years before moving to Port Hope and as far as I know its not a secret. No idea what they are planning to do with it but it needs a fair bit of work. Sits on about four acres of property, set back from the road. Hope this helps. I think it may originally have run as a care home long before I moved to the County.

I dont care where they bought a hotel just as long as they dont stop making their awesome tv shows. Got this book for my sister and her partner and you’d have thought Id just given her a million bucks. She went CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!! Guess I got it right. She’s a huge Home Heist fan but it appeasr that the book is the info blitz she needs to fix up her home before she flips it!

got the book and sold my house for around 25 or 30 pr cent more than I expected. Must thank them for making me rich in hard times. I followed their advice to the letter and it seems to have worked well!

Hey guys, this book is awesome. The stuff about transforming your kitchen without huge spends couldnt be better advice at a batter time with the economy teh way it is. Sensible tips and great ways of being stylish and on budget are SO welcome. I love these guys!
