More Highway 7

There’s something so stark about a highway. Luckily this highway has stoplights to stop at and get the occasional picture.

Sky on the way home from work

This is what it looks like on Highway #7 on my way home from work. Some days it’s just gorgeous, this day was not bad.

Gerald Derome - running for Mayor of Toronto

We’ve got an election coming up on November 13th. I’ve been reading through the information on all the candidates, and was recenty focused on those running for Mayor of Toronto.

I came across one ridiculous candidate, Gerald Derome, the picture above is a screenshot of his website at http://groups.msn.com/mayormetoronto.

This website was unbelievable. He’s using an MSN group for his website (if you can call it that). When you can buy a domain for $4.95, this guy is using an MSN Group. There were spelling mistakes and typos all over. He had pictures of himself without a shirt on, which seemed more appropriate for a gay dating site than for someone who wants to be taken seriously as a mayoral candidate.

Let’s have a look at some of the words he’s misspelled on his site:

rejouvenated, prepresentative, MayorAll, prisonner, writting, Caucassian, politivation, Advertizing, peice, Garanteed, diretion, scarry, refluction, Leed

Listen to some of his “meaningful” views:

“That is my duty, for me to teach you how to see things differently then the plastic destructive ways of life/living we have been handed down. Our accepted normality is destructive.”

“You will get more then your moneys worth in the long run. Head C.E.O.s and Presidents of the largest companies make a whole lot more then $150,000 or less per year. Give me 4 years to lay the/a next foundation that you want. You the people and not the wealthy or business of controlling past and present decisions and by the same happy well off decision makers.”

“Brat Pitt is shown helping build houses. He should put his money where his show or mouth or goodwill is. He should liquidate all that he owns and bring over some men from the U.S. and epqCanada in proper proportion of his same age or three and six months before and after.”

“The Three People Deemed NOT to change anything, are the leading candidates now! The Media has been telling you for a long time now! Listen to them. These three are the ones our/their bosses and their controllers want. They are the ones most likely not to change anything, they are the top three! The only, OOPS, top three contenders! The sheep will swallow the bait again this time around. Nothing will change. Changing ourselves willingly and with reason seems more pleasant then having someone come in with a riffle and force you to do things that you should be doing!”

“Went to the/a “Regent Park” childrens craft show/sale thursday and found this Graffiti hidden in a bigger graffiti, “Vote 4 Top Mare Gerald Derome 2006 & Beyond”. His relentless pursuit of becoming “King of Mortal Kings”. Those dreams implanted in all of our heads all of our lives. When people try or do succeed then they will always find excuses for not letting her/him to arrive. People one person can change the world, but, sorry son, “IT is not you. You still have an animal in you.” These stupid or smart people will have to organize a proper clean up or touch up to please all of the eyes. Three following end letters stuff will need tobe cloaked from the children would be the safest way to get messages and echoes out. work for your favorite candidate that cares and is fighting for the “Yet To Bees!”. Graffiti is just a demonstration/expression of peoples fears, dreams, want, needs and desires, all of them of all three market streams (white grey black colour infra atomic laser minds). p.s. I did not make a straight line walking to the centre! Signed, Popsicle stick drop in effect.”

“Even religious control now looks more for a good book keeper then a shephard, well maybe his third and fourth and fith in linedo? Without a goal of equality, we are lost. No one person is worth more or less then any other, any where on this planet. That goal is a destination. With that if elected, we would work plan and built differently from now on.”

I am just sickened by the stupidity. Can you believe that this is what we have to choose from? It’s no wonder that people like David Miller get elected. When you have a look at all the candidates, it is, of course, the choice of who NOT to vote for. It looks like more than half the candidates don’t even have a website, and you know what? That makes a helluva lot more sense than putting up drivel like that above. Were there any political issues that he planned to address, or are we just supposed to vote for him because he’s got half-nude photos on his site? And I don’t know what you think, but I would choose to vote for someone who at least has a grade 6 ability in mastering the English language.
