Time for Photos

// April 24th, 2006 // 2 Comments » // Events, Neighbourhoods

I think I’ll go to this. What a perfect way to spend a Saturday. If you live in the GTA, you may like to join me in seeing the Toronto Squared photography exhibition at Le Petit Déjeuner this coming Saturday.

I love pictures of and around Toronto.

See for yourself.

If you’re into it, let me know – I’ll meet you there.

I Can See

My new glassesYesterday I picked up my new glasses. These are those progressive kind where the top is for distance, the middle for the computer, and the bottom for reading.

The only problem I’m having right now is the computer part. It seems there’s an exact spot I have to look at to see the computer and if I’m looking at it, everything to the side is blurry unless I physically turn my head.

Why is it that they don’t have the prescriptions running the entire width of the glasses? I’ll see whether or not I can get used to these.

In other news, I also got my hair cut really short yesterday. With the glasses and the haircut, I’m looking quite manly.

UPDATE: I’ve since changed these glasses because they kept hitting my eyelashes.

Happy Easter

Being brought up Catholic, I know that this is one of those weekends where all the lapsed and lazy Catholics make a beeline for the church because it’s required that they attend mass at Christmas and Easter. It’s a stipulation to remain Catholic, although I don’t know why they bother with the perfunctory 2-times-a-year sessions when they’re not interested the rest of the time.

It’s also now Passover and I know even less about Passover other than the fact that it’s the jewish equivalent to Easter, and it doesn’t always happen at the same time.

This year I don’t give a shit about Easter, passover, whatever. I’m not cooking up a big Easter dinner for the family because I just don’t feel like it. I’m taking this weekend to have a nice, relaxing long weekend and just do whatever the hell I feel like doing.

I had hoped that what I’d feel like doing was sleeping in, but this morning I was up at 8:30 after going to bed at 2:00. That didn’t quite make sleep-in status for me. Perhaps tomorrow.
