Go Vote

// January 14th, 2006 // No Comments » // Neighbourhoods

Today they had the early polls, so I figured, what the hell… I may as well go and vote now and avoid the line-ups on the 23rd.

Of course I won’t tell you who I voted for, but then what does it matter. I wasn’t happy with any of them, I think they’re all numbnuts, so I voted for whomever I hated the least.

Election Time (Again)

// January 6th, 2006 // No Comments » // Events

We’ve got an election coming up on January 23rd. My choices are limited; I don’t really like any of the candidates here, but I’ve got to choose someone since I always vote.

The CBC has a great little quiz to see who you most agree with on the individual platforms. Click here to check out the quiz.

Here are my results:

Jack LaytonAgreed with Jack Layton, NDP on 7 issues – Employment Insurance, Gun Control, Economic Growth, Relations with the provinces, Farming, Parliamentary Reform, Taxes

Disagreed with Jack Layton, NDP on 5 issues – Defence Spending, National Security, Child Care, Foreign Aid, Healthcare Funding

Stephen HarperAgreed with Stephen Harper, Conservative on 8 issues – Gun Control, Economic Growth, Relations with the provinces, Foreign Aid, Healthcare Funding, Farming, Parliamentary Reform, Taxes

Disagreed with Stephen Harper, Conservative on 4 issues – Defence Spending, Employment Insurance, National Security, Child Care

Paul MartinAgreed with Paul Martin, Liberal on 6 issues – Employment Insurance, Economic Growth, Relations with the provinces, Healthcare Funding, Parliamentary Reform, Taxes

Disagreed with Paul Martin, Liberal on 5 issues – Defence Spending, National Security, Gun Control, Child Care, Foreign Aid, Farming

The problem is that the scores are pretty even, a point here, a point there difference. I think all of these guys are useless. So who am I going to vote for?
