A bit of bad news as far as Toronto goes lately.
Apparently there have been some gang wars going on (in the Driftwood area) and a lot of innocent people have been getting shot – including a 4-year-old.
Firstly, I didn’t even know that we had gangs in Toronto, so how stupid am I? But worse than that is the fact that Driftwood Avenue is not that far from where I live up in North York.
People have been shot just coming out of a store. Where’s the reasoning behind that? And what the hell do innocent people doing their shopping have to do with any of the idiotic gangs?
Another bad thing in TO is that the West Nile Virus has hit, so people are warned to stay inside at dusk and dawn when mosquitoes are more prevalent.
Not that I’m anxious to be outside in this hot weather at those times, but it’s a sad state to think that you could end up dead from a mosquito bite.
If I hadn’t lived here my entire life, I might be looking at places I could move to.
